Study in any discipline at a recognized post-secondary institution or recognized summer program in one of the Nordic countries: Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, the Faeroe Islands, or Greenland. Applicants must take at least one language course in the official Nordic language of the host country during their study.
CINS invites undergraduate students from Canadian post-secondary institutions to apply for a travel bursary to pursue study at a post-secondary institution in a Nordic country. Up to three (3) scholarships are awarded annually.
Eligibility
Canadian citizens or landed immigrants enrolled in an undergraduate degree program at a Canadian post-secondary institution.
Criteria
Applications will be evaluated on the qualifications of the applicant, the quality of the proposed program, and the potential of the program to further academic and cultural links between Canada and the Nordic countries. The applicant must indicate his or her reasons for wishing to study in a Nordic country. Note: The bursary cannot be used toward travel or study already completed.

- Post-secondary transcripts
- Two (2) letters of recommendation from post-secondary instructors
The letters should include an assessment of the applicant’s motivation, academic abilities and achievements, interpersonal and leadership abilities, and the potential benefit from the applicant’s participation in the chosen program.
