Study or research in any discipline at a recognized post-secondary institution granting earned degrees at the post-baccalaureate level in Canada or one of the Nordic countries: Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, the Faeroe Islands, or Greenland.
CINS invites graduate students from Canadian post-secondary institutions to apply for a scholarship to pursue graduate research or other study within a PhD program at a Nordic or Canadian post-secondary institution. Normally one (1) scholarship is awarded annually.
Eligibility
Canadian citizens or landed immigrants engaged in research or study within a PhD program at a Nordic or Canadian post-secondary institution.
Criteria
Applications will be evaluated on the qualifications of the applicant, the quality of the proposed program and the potential of the program to further academic and cultural links between Canada and the Nordic countries. The applicant must indicate his or her reasons for wishing to study in a Nordic country. Note: The scholarship cannot be used toward research or study already completed.
